Please work
on your packet each day this week. I have included some extra activities that
are good practice but not graded. If you

Reading
I have set
up a classroom account on getepic.com to provide an assortment of books for
home reading. You will go to
www.getepic.com/students and our class code is nii4531. Please let me know if
you have trouble logging in and I will try to help you troubleshoot it.
I am sending
home the reading workbook for use while we are out of school. Please do not tear the pages out and please
do not work ahead as we will need these when we return to school.
Monday –
Read “The Green Grass Grew All Around” in your Open Court textbook and discuss
the questions on p. 122 with your parent.
Complete workbook pages 67-68 to sort your spelling words by spelling
pattern. Read for
20 minutes using books you have at home or books on getepic.com. Complete one
activity on your ELA choice board and one activity on your word work choice
board.
Tuesday –
Reread “The Green Grass Grew All Around” and begin to answer the questions on
the study guide. Complete workbook pages
57-58 to review the /oo/ sound. Read for
20 minutes using books you have at home or books on getepic.com. Complete one
activity on your ELA choice board and one activity on your word work choice
board.
Wednesday –
Complete the study guide that you started on Tuesday. Read “Strongest in the Forest” on p. 124 in
your Open Court textbook. Pay close attention to the vocabulary words in this
selection. Complete workbook pages 61-62
to practice vocabulary. Read for 20 minutes using books you have at home or
books on getepic.com. Complete one activity on your ELA choice board and one
activity on your word work choice board.
Thursday –
Complete workbook pages 59-60 to practice the prefixes pre- and mis- and
workbook pages 63-64 to practice cause and effect. Read for 20 minutes using books you have at
home or books on getepic.com. Complete one activity on your ELA choice board
and one activity on your word work choice board.
Math
Tuesday -
Saxon math lesson 106: telling and showing time to the minute. Complete side A with help from an adult and
complete side B on your own. Pick one
activity from your math choice board.
Wednesday -
Saxon math lesson 107: counting quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies (Remember
that when the page says to show the amount two ways you should write it once
with a dollar sign and once with a cent sign).

Thursday -
Saxon math lesson 108: identifying parallel lines and line segments. Complete side A with help from an adult and
complete side B on your own. Pick one
