Reading / Language Arts
Our story this week is “Where’s the Honey, Honey?” and our comprehension skills will focus on sequence and main idea.  We will begin learning about pronouns and will continue informational writing.

Math
Our math skills this week will include writing number sentences to show equal groups, counting quarters, rounding to the nearest 10, and finding one half of a set. Please continue to practice addition and subtraction facts at home as these are still slowing down the math process for some.

Happy February!  Our class Valentine's Day party will be Friday, February 14 in the lunchroom atrium at 11:00.  We will have pizza so you will not need to send lunch or lunch money that day.  Please send cards to exchange with our class and the other second grade class. A list of names was sent home earlier. Please let me know if you need another list.
