I can hardly believe it's been a month since our class came together. What a wonderful month it has been! The children are working so hard and I know you are proud of them.
We will be taking a reading benchmark test this week. It is a lengthy test but we will spread it out across the week and only do small sections at a time. Please encourage your student to do his/her best as this will show growth in reading so far this year. It is not counted toward the report card grade.
This will be a review week in reading. We will not have any new skills. "Night Shift" is our story for the week. Please check your child's binder for spelling and vocabulary.
Please continue to practice addition and subtraction facts together at home. Our other math skills for the week will be reading and drawing a pictograph, fractions, and writing numbers in expanded form.
We will continue to learn about animals and their habitats. This week we will focus on oceans and ocean animals.
